Bell 205 Huey and Super Huey
Overhauled Bell 205 and Bell 205 after upgrade to Super Huey (UH-1H).
The helicopters UH-1 are modified as follows:
- there are installed the Lycoming T53-L-703 engine with a Bell 212 transmission and rotor blade system
- replace of military fuel lines and cells with the lighter commercial type
- add starkes and a fast vertikal fin.
 
There also is proposed to the costumer a set of composite blades which give approximately 700 lbs of additional useful load under all circumstances by comparison to the Bell 205 metal blades.
The single much stronger, 1800hp turboshaft engine and upgraded rotor system give the helicopter a greater lifting capacity and good performance at high temperature and altitude.
Avionics:
We re-wire the aircraft for civil radios - GPS included. All military wirings, rack and avionik are removed. And all the wiring from the back of the aircraft to the front is new Teflex type wiring, which is made up of only one long piece.
